Big Ambitions is Hovgaard Games’ New York tycoon, fully released 28 August 2026 after Early Access on 10 March 2023. The opening is a storefront lease, not a separate tutorial map: Uncle Fred hands over an apartment and a first job, then Voogle Maps’ buildings-for-rent filter is how a shop at 37 1st Street / 44 5th Avenue in Garment District gets signed. Steam US list is $25.99 with a 20% intro at $20.79. Reviews at capture are Very Positive, 12751 of 13792. The shipped product is single-player on Windows and macOS, Steam Deck unsupported, with 126 achievements and no first-party redeem codes.
Eighteen named types run from gift shop, supermarket, coffee shop and clothing store through cinema, theater, law firm, warehouse and factory. MarketInsider lists seven neighbourhoods; 1.0 adds The Hamptons as mansions, gated docks and a luxury strip. Shop interiors on this page are floorplates from that first Garment District lease, not a marketing collage.
Hovgaard Games is a Danish studio (HOVGAARD GAMES APS). Studio Insights #4 on 4 December 2025 claimed more than 600,000 copies sold for this title and 1.1 million lifetime Steam sales together with Startup Company. Independent editorial used SteamDB for a 1.0 concurrent spike; those CCU figures are observed, not a first-party stat.
What the first lease actually covers
Take the apartment, sleep so energy does not collapse when hunger and happiness are low in 1.0, then rent via Voogle Maps. Stock the floor, hire someone off the till, and the same address later feeds warehouses, HQ desks and Vantander loans. Ingrid Schneider is the special rival on this starter turf. The sidewalk still in the plate is Wordsmith beside NY Gifts & Souvenirs — the kind of retail front the gift-shop type occupies once the lease is live.
The official site frames the same loop as loan, rent, logo, renovate, stock and hire, then harbour imports through warehouses. Numeric starter rents and fridge prices stay in-game; this wiki does not invent a SKU table. 44 5th Avenue appears on the same starter screenshots as an alternate street number for that Garment District plate. Customer Service and Delivery Driver already sit on the Voogle Maps job filter before any HQ desk is placed.
1.0 on the same city
Negative interest is gone. Vantander tightens the income bar, raises the maximum, and takes partial loan and tax payments; late tax is 10% in EconoView. HQ can seat a Pricing Manager who reprices a whole neighbourhood. Speedy Bites delivers to home or business; Onyx Luxury Chauffeurs hires a private driver after a vehicle sits in their garage. Workshop arrived in EA 0.11. Announced after 1.0: the free update Let the Good Tides Roll, then Shanghai DLC versus Huang Guo.
1.0 also speeds energy drain when hunger and happiness sit low, adds Brick Breaker on home computers, and gives Hamptons homeowners Halcyon Fairway and A Racket of Love. Furniture got a pass in the same notes. None of that replaces the first lease: you still sleep, rent, stock and hire on Garment District before any mansion, yacht interior or Broadway marquee is in play.

Stores, platforms and languages
Steam is the confirmed storefront for app 1331550. The current build ships Windows and macOS; Steam Deck ajax reports SteamOSDoesNotSupport and platforms.linux is false. Steam lists 22 interface languages with full audio only in English. Thai, Vietnamese and Indonesian are not in that table; store API titles in those locales still resolve as Big Ambitions.
Epic browse returned 403 at capture and GOG had no SKU. A Business Tycoon Bundle pairs this game with Startup Company on Steam. Pinned socials name Discord, X, Reddit and YouTube; Facebook exists as a Hovgaard page and Instagram is a stub behind a login wall.
